Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?+

Yes, we are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, United Healthcare, Cigna, Tricare, Baylor Scott & White, Magellan, and Optum. We recommend verifying your specific plan's mental health coverage before your first session.

What should I expect during my first therapy session?+

Your first session is an intake where your therapist gets to know you, your history, and your goals. It typically lasts 50-60 minutes. You'll discuss what brought you to therapy, and together you'll begin building a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Do you offer telehealth counseling?+

Yes, we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for anyone located in Texas. Virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions for most concerns and provides added convenience for busy schedules.

How do I know if I need therapy?+

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, experiencing anxiety or depression, or simply want to understand yourself better, counseling can help. If daily life feels harder than it should, that's reason enough to reach out.

What types of counseling do you offer?+

We offer individual, couples, and family counseling. Our specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma (including EMDR therapy), maternal mental health, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, relationship issues, and more. Each treatment plan is personalized to your unique needs.

How long does therapy typically last?+

The duration varies based on your goals and concerns. Some clients see meaningful progress in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Your therapist will regularly check in on your progress and adjust the plan as needed.
